... Paul Wrightson and Blind Ego

Kalle Wallner, guitarist with German band RPWL releases his second album from his solo project, Blind Ego, in April. The album has a working title of ‘Numb’ and again features Paul Wrightson on vocals with John Jowitt, and Sebastian Harnack from Sylvan sharing bass duties.
Latest news: Drummer Iggor Cavalera (Sepultura, Soulfly, Mix Hell) has recorded one song for upcoming Blind Ego album.
The album is said to be rockier than their critically acclaimed first album ‘Mirror’, which also featured guest appearances by John Mitchell of It Bites, Arena and Frost, and Clive Nolan of Arena and Pendragon.
About Blind Ego
In the year 2005, after having released five albums with his current main band RPWL, guitarist Kalle Wallner decided that it was high time to write down his own story...
Many friends were enthusiastic about this idea and contributed great musical spirit to this project: John Jowitt ( IQ, Frost, Arena) Tommy Eberhardt, Paul Wrightson (Arena), John Mitchell ( Arena, It Bites, Frost, Kino) and many more. In cooperation with his RPWL mate Yogi Lang Kalle Wallner produced the album MIRROR; released 27th January 2007 to critical acclaim, with many reviewers awarding 9/10 and album of the month.
On album "mirror":
Kalle Wallner: guitars
John Jowitt: bass
John Mitchell: vocals
Paul Wrightson: vocals
Tommy Eberhardt: drums
special guest appearance:
Yogi Lang: keyboards
Clive Nolan: backing vocals
Stefan Obermaier: sound-design
Current live line-up:

... Shades of Deep Purple
Sept '08 ... Purple Project guitarist Chris Voysey performed with Deep Purple founder member Nick Simper at the Mick Jagger Centre in Dartford, Kent..
Nick appeared with his band 'The Good Ol' Boys' and put in a fine performance - a great evening was had by all! Chris was delighted to be able to share the stage with one of the founder members of Deep Purple and had time to meet and chat with Nick after the show.

The Purple Project would like to thank their good friend Doogie White (Rainbow, Yngwie Malmsteen) for stepping in at extremely short notice to cover for Paul Wrightson who was unwell with laryngitis! This was an important charity event at which the band was scheduled to play with Ian Paice. However, he subsequently was unable to play due to touring commitments with Deep Purple in South America ... maybe next time!
Many legendary acts spanning the decades, gave their valuable time to support the 'Rock of Ages' charity event. It was a great night with Doogie putting in a superb performance.
Promoter Chris Wright said of the evening “The event exceeded my expectations. Audience and artists alike seemed to have a great time” The event was organized to raise funds for the 'Music For All' charity.
